Live Below The Line

If you had only $1.75 to spend today, how would you spend it?

From April 28 – May 2, 2014, join thousands of people around the world, who will be taking the “Live Below the Line Challenge”, in support of the 1.2 billion people around the world who live on no more than $1.75 a day, every day – not just for food and drink, but for everything.

Live Below the Line is an annual global anti-poverty campaign which challenges participants to feed themselves on the equivalent of the extreme poverty line for five days.

The Israel Tennis Centers Foundation is a Live Below the Line Partner; all funds raised via Live Below the Line will go toward our ITC Children-at-Risk programs in Israel. Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics routinely assesses the numbers and demographics regarding children at risk under the age of 17 in Israel. Findings are startling; Israel’s local councils currently list / identify over 800,000 Israeli children and youth at- risk. This number is steadily rising year over year due to intensified poverty throughout Israel’s periphery / disadvantaged neighbourhoods.

To sign up, sponsor or support a participant, go to the Israel Tennis Centers Foundation’s LBL page: https://www.livebelowtheline.com/ca/partner/itc

And that’s not all. Taking the Live Below the Line challenge changes the way we understand and think about poverty. It gets people talking and creates passionate people, willing and able to make a difference for those who need it most.

Take the challenge and be a part of our work to end extreme poverty.

5 days, to end extreme poverty. Are you with us?
