ITC Teen Council Aces NYC Event!
The Israel Tennis Centers Foundation’s newly formed Teen Council hosted its inaugural fundraising benefit at Mason’s Tennis in NYC to help provide microfinance loans for underprivileged teenagers interested in taking training courses to become tennis coaches and umpires in Israel. Mason’s Tennis has offered to donate a percentage of sales from purchases made through December 31st to the ITC Teen Council Fund to help support this worthy cause.
The event attracted a large crowd of supporters, including friends and family of 15-year old Teen Council President Robert Millman. “I have seen how kids are served by the ITC’s social impact programs,” Robert said. “I feel like it is time for my friends and me to step up and begin organizing events of this type. The funds we raise can make a real difference for kids my age who don’t have the same opportunities as I do.”
The event was graciously hosted by Mark Mason at his NYC store, and included an exclusive sneak peak demonstration of the new Babolat Play Pure Drive racquet. In development for 10 years, the revolutionary new racquet allows players to collect data on each stroke through a patented interactive device built into the handle. Mason’s Tennis is one of only 40 retailers nationwide selected by Babolat to carry this extraordinary new product, which will be available in mid-December.
