Arie Rosenbaum, Valeria Nikolaev and Inbar Cohen from the ITC win the third Nike Circuit
There was success for three players from the ITC, on Saturday 19th June 2011, in the third Nike Circuit competition at the ITC – Jaffa (U-14) and in Ra’anana (U-12). The fourth and final competition day will be held this weekend, and the eight best players in each category from all four tournaments will be invited to compete at the Masters (30th and 31st August). Finally, after the Masters, the best overall player in each age group will go to the Global Nike Circuit competition in Florida.
After three Nike Circuits and two national tournaments (Passover and Shavuot) Ram Kapach from the ITC – Ashkelon and Edan Leshem from the ITC – Ramat Hasharon are leading the boys U-14 rankings (275 points each), Talya Zandberg is at the top of the girls U-14 rankings (300 points), followed by Valeria Nikolaev from the ITC – Haifa (275 points). In the boys U-12 rankings Omer Hefetz (300) is first with Ishay Ulliel coming in second (225 points) in the current standings. Inbar Cohen (300 points) and Avital Vulf (275 points), both from the ITC – Ramat Hasharon, are first and second respectively in the girls U-12 rankings.
In the boys U-14 competition, Arie Rosenbaum ( ITC – Tel Aviv) won the 3rd leg of Nike Circuit after he beat Emil Saveljev (ITC – Ramat Hasharon) 8-4, with Nimrod Gabay taking third place after winning 8-2 against Shahar Elbaz (ITC – Tel Aviv). In the girls U-14, Valeria Nikolaev (ITC – Haifa), won the competition when she beat Avital Vaysbuch 8-1 in the final; Anita Riskin finished in third place after beating Polina Lev ( ITC – Sajur) 8-2.
Omer Hefetz won the boys U-12 title after he overcame Ishay Uliel 8-1, with Luka Hermann (ITC – Ramat Hasharon) taking third place after a 8-2 victory over Dennis Dzuibinsky. In the girls U-12 Inbar Cohen (ITC – Ramat Hasharon) beat Shelly Korlitzky (ITC – Jaffa) 8-5, and Leah Rafaelov ended in third place.
