During September 2009, just four months after the Israel Open 2009 Challenger Tournament and 8 months before the 2010 Israel Open, the Israel Tennis Center-Ramat. Hasharon hosted 3 consecutive ITF Futures Tournaments. Named after Joyce Eisenberg, a visionary and longtime supporter of the Israel Tennis Center, the Eisenberg Futures tournaments offer an important opportunity for many Israeli professionals to promote their career without buying a plane ticket and making hotel reservations.
Two years ago, it was Harel Levy’s participation and consequent success in the Eisenberg Futures Tournaments that helped re-launch his once brilliant career. This year’s Eisenberg Futures Circuit belonged to Noam Okun, one of Israel’s top players and a member of Israel’s, Davis Cup team. Noam who was ranked 95th at the height of his career in 2002, won all three consecutive tournaments and displayed top-notch tennis.
On September 2nd, the Israel Tennis Center was honored to host Joyce Eisenberg-Keefer and her husband Mel during their visit to Israel from Los Angeles. Joyce and Mel were joined by ITC CEO Janine Strauss and ITC staff and were given a tour of the Ramat Hasharon Tennis Center and its programs, including the Elite and Fitness Programs. Joyce and Mel enjoyed the ITF, Eisenberg Future Tournament they so generously support, which took place in Ramat Hasharon during their visit and met with tennis players from Israel and abroad who participated in the tournament.
